Continuo a rimpiangere quel tempo in cui
dimorava in me un guerriero impavido e valoroso,
grazie al quale affrontavo a testa alta,
senza remora ne incertezza alcuna,
ogni sorta di dramma e di gelido dolore.
Ancora oggi non conosco ne la causa ne il momento,
ma lungo il cammino, nel corso delle battaglie,
ho smarrito il mio drago guerriero.
Assurdo come ora anche la più semplice delle banalità
sia per me esclusivamente fonte di paura e angoscia,
tanto è paralizzante il terrore di abbandonarmi alla vita,
che per una masochistica quanto inconscia reazione psichica
preferisco pensare costantemente alla morte,
nera e spaventosa da non riuscire a sostenerne lo sguardo,
volgo il capo alla morte per nascondermi alla vita.
Quanto non mi riconosco nell'individuo che sono pensando alla persona che ero,
drago mio non puoi essere altrove che dentro me,
ti ostini a nasconderti mentre io non vorrei altro che rivederti...
